It’s really fundamental
This feeling that I have
I question all that’s mental
And can’t connect a path
It’s really detrimental
When you simply walk away
Your refusal to be ample
In all you do and say
Some words are very subtle
When hiding other facts
You chose to speak so little
And prefer to use the axe
So now the conversation
You ended at the start
Is just a connotation
You prefer to let us part
Oh paradise is bliss for two
When something has begun
Alas, the movies show this too
A scene with setting sun
The flash of light does disappear
Something then was missing here
We cannot see the sunny rays
And darkness has uncanny ways
Lowered chin toward my breast
Feeling the rage inside
I refuse to give you all my best
When now I’ve seen you lied
A nagging voice so determined
To cut the bliss with you
It may be predetermined
I don’t believe in you
Oh lovely land of paradise
Where rain began to fall
My life to me was the price
And now I see it all
What I have learned
And have survived,
Life can’t be returned
Once it’s revived
Beneath the water’s surface deep
Your hands around my neck
The secret threats I cannot keep
My life is my pay cheque
In all my hours spent with you
And breath without you kissed
Something deep inside me too
Saw something that you missed
It’s really fundamental
For darkness to exist
Yet somewhat detrimental
To live within the mist
What some might see in paradise
Are some romantic scenes
And those without a penny
Have more than life, it seems
To put it in a better way
The lesson that I share
Your life is yours to give away
But do so and with care
Stay in control and do command
The powers deep and true
But also know and do demand
The very best for you
