‼️THE PUZZLE‼️

Where do I begin
With so many pieces
Where do I fit in
The dilemma increases

So many small parts
To fit all together
All with their hearts
In the puzzle must tether

The edges of those
Who stand on guard
Let nothing impose
To ones that are hard

All pieces inside
Spread out are alone
Some try to hide
And yet they are prone

The shapes are all different
The colours are many
Some are vociferant
Some are not any

Each piece is a single
And each has a place
With others they mingle
Then back to the race

They have to move on
And meet other pieces
They become the bygone
Of inner releases

Sometimes we go back
And try fit in
We find there’s no hack
And start over again

The time that it takes
For pieces to mold
And the many mistakes
Do often behold

When trying to search
For where you must be
There’s somewhere to perch
To reflect and then see

The magnificent picture
These pieces become
All parts of the mixture
All secrets of One

The master of all
Who holds every piece
Where they do fall
Is His masterpiece

‼️AT THE GATE‼️

It hurts like hell
To miss someone
And everybody does,
In life there are no answers
It is so, just because

The emotional connection
We meet within our lives
Brings many to the gate
When sympathy arrives

We need to see our value
And honour it as well
Every person truly,
Has a living hell

To be the kind of person
You would love to meet
Is the inner being
Next to your heartbeat

We look to others often
And search the planet wide
But mostly we forget
To look close, just inside

The basic needs of life
Are sustenance to breathe
But others we so need
Before this earth we leave

If ever there’s a doubt
Within your broken heart
It really is important
And not to late to start

It takes a lot of courage
To pass the gate of pain
But understand the message
Your heart and it’s campaign

Behind the fence of sorrow
The pain has built in you
There are so many others
Who have their fences too

Inside your wall of sadness
And under your headstone
In order to find solace
Let love return you home

I can’t describe the pain I feel
I want to think it isn’t real
This heavy feeling in my chest
One so weighted and depressed

My heart is in me this I know
It’s no stranger to such sorrow
There are so many kinds of pain
And it keeps beating on again

I drove for miles to see his face
To say goodbye and plead for grace
The road was blank when I did drive
Until the time I did arrive

It’s not the fact he had to go
His mind was gone, he did not know
He left his body years before
He did not know us anymore

Although he was a body here
My Aunt beside him was his cheer
And when he smiled upon the day
There were some times he’d look her way

I cannot denounce the evidence
To support the minds own residence
But if you ask me what I think
I suspect there is a link

What mind he had kept character
But memory could not register
And when he left the world today
I knew his mind had found its way

We hear of life’s adversities

We hear of ups and downs

We hear of many problems

And challenges in our frowns

The sick and all the dying

The fires that burn from hell

The floods with all the water

And children that aren’t well

It’s never just a mountain

It’s never just a fight

It’s never just a journey

And it’s never just alright

To see the hatred spew

To see the world in pain

To turn the other cheek

And look away again

There’re are stories to be told

There’re people all around

There’re reasons these exist

And courage to be found

It’s been a quick few words

It’s really more than this

It’s fragile and obscured

There’s more here that I miss

The point I want to make

The promise that I keep

The injustice of mistakes

Is something very deep

People are what matter

People all around you

People need your help

And people help you too

So look at all that matters

And see what you can do

There is no dance in malice

Don’t let it dance with you
