You missed your sleep

Too excited

Your heart does leap

You know the way

You feel alone

When you look down

And see a clone

You can’t explain

To anyone

But there it is

At you made fun

You know the way

You went to bat

And now your friends

A copycat

For what you see

On social media

There’s more of you

And they just blocked ya!

Telephone wires

What’s the truth

The mind enquires

Each time explained

The story alters

No one to challenge

And so it falters 

The whispers echo 

Through the years

Telling stories 

To our ears

The more they’re told

They rearrange

No one seems 

To see this change

Just like the gossip

You do hear

What is spoken

In your ear

Use your sense

Ingenuity 

Think your thoughts

They are free

What is real

From stories told

Is there truth 

From stories sold

Single statements

Truth tied in knots

What is fake

And what is not

The echos last

Through the centuries

Too many voices

From the gentries

You are told

From day one

What to believe

Until your done

It is in you

Second guessing

There is no other 

Your confessing

If you think

And speak your mind

Look for answers

You can’t find

You are fired

And opposed

Then expired

And disposed

Cannot think 

On your own

Disconnected

From your phone

When you discover

You can think

No other being

Gives a stink

In the magic

Tales of fairies

Sometimes it pays

To just be wary

Just keep asking

There’s more to why

It’s quite ok 

Until you die

Is expressed

When you explore

With your friend best

Conversations 

With some others

Help you to share

Just like mothers

Opening 

Your story book

Is hard to do

When you look

There are pages 

You just hate

They are stained

By tears you make

They were written

Long before

But you don’t live there

Anymore

Isolation 

Came and went

Now with others

Time is spent

It feels so good

Just to visit

When once before

You were not in it

There inside you 

Is a creature

No human form

With selfless nature

This little light

Inside of you

Is your “self”

Your inner virtue

The best for self

And others too

Is to share

And care for you

When you’ve spent

Your outside wealth

Don’t be afraid

To spend on “self”

The land to harness

Loving Gardners

Sky scene towers

Crushing flowers

Power figures

Charting numbers

Critical mass

Infused followers

More and more

We keep moving

Less and less

We’re all losing

Sun will rise

Why do we care

When we just waste

Our precious air

Day will leave

At its sunset

Many here

Just do forget

Alone and sad

Some cry to sleep

Silent lovers

Also weep

In the grasp

So convoluted

What we need

Is so diluted

Lifestyle needs

Practice please

Thankful thoughts

Happy tease

Always asking

Here’s a thought

I share with you

Sometimes I think

About this too

What it means

To understand

So many people

In the land

All so different

In this place

All apart of 

The human race

I may not speak

In foreign tongues

But I breath

With my lungs

I may not look

The same in colour

But I still cleanse

When I do shower

I may not believe 

In your religion

But I still pray

It’s my decision

I may have freedom

Unlike some others

But there are thoughts

That keep us under

I may not agree

So equally

To rights denied

No dignity

I may not dress

Like other people

But without our clothes

We are equal

I may not respect 

Many rules

There are just some 

That are so cruel

But what I know

And it’s the truth

It doesn’t take

A well trained sleuth

That since the earth

Was first discovered

The world has argued

It’s not recovered

To all the people

Who look different

We are the same

The rest is irrelevant.

There is a hell

Within the world

Where we fight

And Demons whirl

There is a heaven

We all can see

It dominates

And sets us free

Inside ourselves 

There is hell

But there is heaven

There as well

Where do we find

What heaven meant

Upon the path

Of flower scents

Watch the chipmunks

Run their route

They have a purpose

More than cute

Oh the squirrels

And their nests

They are tenacious

Beauty pests

Upon the wings

Of butterflies

They always catch

Our children’s eyes

Feel the warmth 

Upon your face

Caressing beams

From God’s own grace

Walk the earth

With feet so bare

Mother Earth

She is there

Hear the breeze

And leaves that ruffle

Taste the magic

Chocolate truffle

The love in life 

Is all about

Being present

And not without

Sad it is

There are times

Failing breaths

And tortured minds

Without love

Some do live

Beautiful people

We must give

There is no cap

On happiness

When we help those

Who have much less

Oh dear people

Do not wait

Until the day

It is too late

When leaves are still

And clouds arrive

Waters spill

From the sky

The trees they burn

The oceans sink

All the coasts

Now nature’s drink

In an instant 

All is washed

We won’t be ready

This is the cost

What we have taken

So for granted

Sometimes steals

The most enchanted

We see the things

That we own

People too

That we have known

Do we remember

All the fun

When life hits hard

You want to run

We can’t escape

What’s meant to be

The greater good

Is torture free

We have to learn

When we fall

For on the ground

The earth knows all

She has seen

All pain and suffering

And yet we feel 

Like there is nothing

Oh the glory

When you rise

Smiley moment

Twinkling eyes

If we say 

There is a heaven

Why does it feel 

Like hell’s getting even?
