To mask or not to mask

I ask myself of this

With Hamlet in my head

This is really serious

So many particles

The air does float within

And though we do not see

We continued to breathe in

So many busy places

We use to join the crowd

We humans need some others

It use to be allowed

And then we were shown

And after that were told

To stop all interaction

And wear a face contraption

So inside we did stay

And learned about the virus

As silly as it seems

Don’t touch those around us

Unless we used a chemical

And washed profusely

I used my soap and water

It always worked for me

I think of all the windows

And faces looking out

I think of all the yelling

And children’s live’s without

I think of all the workers

Who lost the way to pay

The bills are piling up

They keep building every day

I think of all the staff

Who never left their post

The healthcare personnel

To them we owe the most

There’s others that agree

That other workers too

All essential service

To help mankind get through

And now we are given

Information in our homes

Internet, computers

TV and telephones

New habits have been formed

And lifestyles they’ve become

We all need protection

To do or not is questioned
