In the time of making choices
In your mind are many voices
What to do and just achieve
Only happens if you believe

Passion felt is quite a high
Dares in you to give a try
Ignore the doubts inside of you
Take the reign of something new

What might you like to tell your brain
There’s not a loss when there is gain
If you work hard and promise too
All you need is belief in you

Think of the hardest thing you’ve done
Remember that which feels more fun
When at this time you have uncovered
Answers sought are now discovered

Oh the joy and pride you feel
Knowing you found something real
When you decide on what to do
Remember who believes in you

Change is the storm that you can tame
Nothing in life stays the same
Know your chances are better yet
When you believe and don’t forget!

Not in the car 🚗
Or office of clones🏢

What I was asked
Was to write🖋
A simple poem
And this I like🤓

So after tasks
I did complete
Here I am on

It is amazing
And obvious
So many people👥

We are here
At different times⏰
Some just read📚
Others write lines📝

What makes it real
And so compelling
Are all the words
And so much selling💲

What we write🖌
And how we feel🤪
What we think🤔
Is it all real?🤫

Are we here
Most of all
To make a friend🧍‍♀️🧍
And that is all

All People here🙋‍♀️🙋🏾
In human nature👩‍💻
We really do just
Need each other❤️

The question now ❓
Before I close
Is are you real
Or pitch proposed⁉️

What I like
And I’m not crass
A place where misfits
Show real class🆔

The only sign⭕️
We have to see 👁
Are the words📝

And physically

We all are children
Innocent
In life’s kingdom

We are given
All this room
Warming sun
And shining moon

We are loved
Like children pure
And little hearts
Can’t endure

If we could give
Back to life
Every child
Deserves no strife

Precious children
In our arms
Mother’s fight
Coat of arms

Protection granted
And so giving
All we seek
While we’re living

As a child
Grows to discover
Nothing else
Seems to matter

The world at large
Is your doorstep
To venture out
A child’s big trip

Freedom births
A spirit large
Until some harm
The service charge

The earth a place
To mingle with
To ease our needs
It is a gift

Little people
See it better
The world around
Is to uncover

If it hurts
You will cry
But if you stop
You might see why

If there is something
Bothering you
Remove the garbage
From your view

When we were little
The days seemed long
But as we grew older
Another theme song..

There were such events
That may have been sad
And others instead
We wish that we had

Then there were people
Who you came across
Who opened your eyes
When they suffered a loss

It didn’t seem fair
It just wasn’t right
It made no sense
To hear of such smite

You tried many things
And changed your mind too
You may keep asking
Why it happens to you

A part of yourself
Is taken away
When you always live
In this yesterday

There is no joy
The further you go
Away from the self
Who all of you know

To understand life
You need to converse
With the one within
From the day of your birth

If you figure this out
And realize
Right till your death
They are the same size

No one else
No other being
Will know all of you
And what you’re feeling

The more you do cry
And shed many tears
The more it remains
For so many years

So stop and remember
Right here and right now
Forgive all there is
For you must allow

Before you walk
You learn to crawl
In order to stand
You first must fall

What holds you back
Is history to weigh
It doesn’t belong
In the gift of today!

What do I see

I look to the sky

It’s a star shiny

Under the stars

I think of you

So bright and clear

Patriotic and true

I’m happy to live

Just to the North

Next to you all

Just to the South

It pleases me so

To be your neighbour

So many friends

This is greater

Some family I love

My niece and nephew

The blood they share

Is American too

This is your day

To celebrate

We share this too

It’s just so great

On this your day

I raise up my glass

Smile with you

And share a laugh

Hearts are here

In the world of good

We come together

In this neighbourhood

There are no walls

When there is love

So look to the stars

That fit like a glove
