To early to rise
To late to sleep
What time is it
For me to keep
I was already dressed
This time yesterday
But now I don’t care
What to wear today
It’s more depressing
To wake up in the dark
And now the day says
Get up and start!
The clock on the table
The machines that are timed
Makes me feel
Like I have no mind
I’m told what to do
By the laws of man
But nature tells me
Don’t fight what I am
What makes no sense
To me in my head
Are the rules we are following
From those who are dead
What’s set in motion
Might’ve helped once
At what point in time
Do we start to denounce
With the concept of time
That never stays still
Why are we repeating
The same old drill
Its best to leave
And just keep going
For nothing is real
There’s truth in knowing
Feeling off balance
Plays in your head
With the concept of time
There is much dread
It’s the world we live in
And measurement to
There’s always a deadline
In front of you
To erase the thoughts
Of what time it is
Sometimes we achieve
Much better like this
The best to be
Cannot be measured
When happiness is
Currently pleasured
Alas but we must
Rely on the clock
For to survive outside
Is part of the plot
Is time running out
The tick of anxiety
What lies ahead
Is always infront of me
What’s done is done
The sound of the tock
There’s no turning back
Forget and block
It’s a matter between
The past and future
No document of time
In this I am after
Before every moment
After the thoughts
There is no time
Where there is naught
The tick of the clock
The rhythm of time
To disappear here
Is where I am fine
But alas I must leave
And join the clock lovers
It’s great to just “BE”
And throw back the covers
