If Yesterday was here
In the space of today
What lies ahead
Is still yesterday
To live in a time
That isn’t defined
Is a heavy price
And weighs on your mind
To start the day
And give it a price
Is something we do
And not always nice
It’s not fair to give birth
To every new day
By wasting new time
With blame in this way
To awake with the feeling
That life is to hard
Imposes on you
This memory card
It’s programmed in you
But can be erased
Think of your blessings
And smile on your face
Repeat, repeat
Day after day
I do assure you
Bad feelings won’t stay
Every person is different
But we all know pain
And living here
We see nothing to gain
A good morning is granted
For you have awoken
The shadows in life
Provide this token
Forget the baggage
And all of the rest
What’s done is gone
You did your best
No matter, no how
In all that you do
No one else lives
Inside of you
Its ok to reflect
Its ok to test
Its ok to let go
Its ok to rest
Knowing the cost
Is important
Paying the price
Is past’s informant
Wen you understand
Your life is of value
What you do today
Will matter to you
So never compare
Destroy this illusion
You are the best
