When I was born

You met me

I can’t recall

This memory

I know somehow

For I feel it

And when we met

I knew your spirit

The first man

I ever loved

You’re still here

This I think of..

When in my walker

Down stairs I fell

You ran to me

And saved me well

The many times

I slept walked

You steered me back

And bought a deadlock

I was two

I remember

Running away

Was my adventure

Your permission

It was granted

And I could take

If I had earned it

I did not own

Left all my clothes

At my home

Off I went

I was naked

Turned around

I couldn’t make it

Thus I planned

My great escape

Asked dear Santa

If he was fake

All I questioned

Bothered me

I wanted answers

I would plea

You held my hand

As we walked

I listened too

As you talked

Every word

I believed you

To a child

This is value

What you need

You just learn it

Because of you

I was determined

When I fell

You fell too

You didn’t say

But this I knew

When I asked

You a question

Sometimes there was

A secret lesson

So many times

I was afraid

But you pushed me

To be so brave

Your sense of humour

Was immense

And this I like

When life’s intense

So many times

“Pull my finger”

Waiting for

The sound of thunder

I did not know

When I was young

That once you were

Your daddy’s son

You never knew

You’re own dad

When you a babe

He died a lad

I can’t imagine

You not there

And I feel pain

I know you care

I hear the sound

Of your keys

You use to shake them

When you could see

You cannot read

The words I write

I like to think

One day you might

I could read

If you would listen

Because of you

I learned this lesson

When you walk

On thin ice

Before you step

Do think twice

I am in tune

With your story

The more I learn

It does amaze me

So on this day

Of father’s bliss

I love you dad

Big hug and kiss

I am a deep thinker, lover of thoughts, a prolific writer sharing my words. In sharing I am caring. I am a member of the human race with an appetite to motivate, inspire, empower and provoke thinking. I stand for dignity in humanity. I am compelled to a vision that we are all here for a reason, life is like a deck of cards... “My cards. My deal. Life is learning the game!” #opism What is OPISM? I have come up with this term as my nick name is Op and they are my own quotes representing a moral doctorine belief system. Thus...Op+ism=Opism. #opism My Motto! “Dignity is Free” How I live...Embracing Dignity My professional experience is disbursed across industries from financial services and sales to that of personal and emergency care. As one who has trained and coached, mentored and taught; it has become a passion within to witness and feel joy in the achievement and success of others that I have been associated with. I am a lifelong learner and have created and facilitated various training materials. It is through such experience that I discovered the power of positive feedback in both professional and personal manners. I am self disciplined, accountable, determined, humble, loyal and adaptive; but above all I value my integrity! I am a decent human being. It is with my greatest pleasure to share with others the power of positive words.

  1. Wonderful and powerful memories. Recognition of the value and perfect love for Dad.
My father has not been with us for many years. But if he were here, today I would make a sincere declaration of love between many tears. We would come together in an embrace without wanting to part.
