Fast and furious
Always working
It keeps computing
Never stopping
A high alert
From the brain
Echos loud
It does complain
All of a sudden
It went still
Never before
It ran this drill
Not one command
That he repeated
Was answered too
Or completed
The brain in its manic
Just tried to compute
The heart felt panic
The mind was mute
His system crashed
Rebooting resisted
The mind was scoping
And heart arrested
Brain was frozen
Could not move
Without the files
No body to groove
Hé had ignored
One fatal question
Sent out before
From heart’s disposition
“If you slow down
And take a rest
Do you think
This would be best?”
Add to this
The brain’s confusion
Rapid thoughts
Mind’s ammunition
In a quote like phrase
It said to the brain
“It doesn’t make sense
If we don’t remain”
Taken aback
The brain was aghast
All of his work
And now this blast
Reference checks
Neurons on duty
Why take a rest
It was still early
With this statement
He tried to compute
The brain without choice
Just couldn’t dispute
For now he figured
He had to adhere
The machine he was working
Just needed some care
What now presented
Was crippling indeed
He was driving
With voracious speed
The heart and the mind
Were watching him now
He was told to slow down
And didn’t know how
The truth that they spoke
He thought he knew too
But for some reason
He ignored all they do
So many messages
Coming in fast
Brain looked to core
And finally asked
“If I should listen
And ignore other parts
Will you help me
Join mind and heart?”
Most powerful core
The one that unites
Spoke these words
And quoted the rights
“If you don’t listen
And continue this way
The work that you do
Will have nothing to say”

‼️A WORD FROM THE CORE‼️
Dear Paula 🇨🇦 Goodman, this poem is very strong. So I stopped everything to read, then I read to understand. I saw three people talking, mind and heart giving information to the brain. This one sometimes feels very confident, has autonomy of his own. However, this time the situation is different, despite all the arguments involved. A fourth person joins this select group, the Wise man has come to decide, and everyone shuts up. In a flash I saw the judgment: “Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the bad days come, and the years come to which you will say, I have no contentment in them.” It’s better to obey than to sacrifice! In fact, we all need the support of others. A proper word, pronounced in a time of adversity, can make a difference in history. 🙏🍁🕊️
