Brain, mind and heart

One day had a meeting

They all work together

In the body your feeding

Brain knew it’s job and did it well

Heart took a stab at love so swell

Mind was amiss, somewhere distant

Typical behaviour, it needs an assistant

At this meeting the agenda

Was another full credenza

Same old thing to the brain

Heart was beating on again

“Snap out of it” yelled the brain

Answer me so I can attain

My calculations need it now

Always here this question “how?”

Heart was hurt and thus did cry

Mind came down from the sky

“Oh Mr. brain, why so mean?”

Mind your manners to our queen

Brain had temperamental fits

Didn’t like to see misfits

It was smart like a computer

Had no idea what was the future

Heart was hopeful for the best

It always beat and did not rest

It’s Royal virtue was pure love

Had no idea how the brain was

Mind was dreaming, analyzing

Always sort of compromising

It’s many rooms full of thought

Had no idea that it could not

At this meeting something happened

No one knew who was the captain

All of a sudden heart felt pain

Brain sent neurons to feed again

Mind alert took command

Told the brain to take his hand

“Work with me I got this now

We need the heart and this is how”

Do all you can do

I will too

Whatever it takes

Don’t step on the breaks

What really matters

Right here, right now

Is what heart feels

I know somehow

It tells me this

And I decide

What I want

Is what will ride

It won’t tell you

But only me

Since I control

What you see

Smart brain stalled

And forgot sensation

However heart

Knew cessation

Heart was pained

And missed a beat

It told the mind

“I feel defeat”

Mind considered

And relayed to the brain

There’s something else

I need explain

There is a time

When heart is done

We cannot change

What’s meant to come

Pack your bags

Turn off the machine

Both of you here

I will now abstain

Our meeting is over

You did a great job

It’s time to let go

Of this heartthrob

I’ll always remember

The time that we spent

You both so physical

Me in a vent

I get to go now

And see all there is

Without the smart brain

And the heart that gives

What we did together

Was really complete

But without the dear heart

There’s nothing to eat
