All leaves are the souls
Of the many branches
The breeze to the limbs
Interpretive dances
The wind and it’s breath
Is beauty til death
It depends on the song
And how you hold on
When you hear the choir
Of those you desire
The strength that you hold
Is worth more than gold
The rain and its banter
Bounces up like a dancer
To cure and thirst quench
To cleanse with a drench
As you look all around
And hear every sound
Your security lies
With rain from the skies
Higher souls that shelter
Your safe from the halter
With them looking down
They offer a crown
To proceed to the top
This crown mustn’t drop
So in order to grow
They do and they show…
Always look up
And greet everyone
Never stop moving
Unless you are done
Offer a token
Whatever you have
Always smile
And know when to laugh
Make room for the others
Below your own branch
Allow them to see
The sun and enhance
When it’s time to move on
Look down as we do
Pass on the dear crown
And let others lead too
Without the sun
To brightly shine
Shadows lose
Their pantomime
A ground to land
When you do fall
The final sound
Your loudest call
When you see
The total tree
All leaves within
Humanity
Each leaf you and me
Together, a tree
