‼️MY UNCLE DIED TODAY‼️

I can’t describe the pain I feel
I want to think it isn’t real
This heavy feeling in my chest
One so weighted and depressed

My heart is in me this I know
It’s no stranger to such sorrow
There are so many kinds of pain
And it keeps beating on again

I drove for miles to see his face
To say goodbye and plead for grace
The road was blank when I did drive
Until the time I did arrive

It’s not the fact he had to go
His mind was gone, he did not know
He left his body years before
He did not know us anymore

Although he was a body here
My Aunt beside him was his cheer
And when he smiled upon the day
There were some times he’d look her way

I cannot denounce the evidence
To support the minds own residence
But if you ask me what I think
I suspect there is a link

What mind he had kept character
But memory could not register
And when he left the world today
I knew his mind had found its way
