My inner self was here today
Didn’t want to hear her say
That what I knew inside of me
Was my own philosophy
She knew just what I had to do
It was here, I knew this too
And yet I did deny her presence
I held back in my resistance
Didn’t want to speak her word
Believing not what I have heard
She spoke so softly in my ear
Swam a mile within my tear
I try so hard to understand thee
Even though it’s all around me
I ignored the secret message
Did not want to be suggestive
I gave to others in my circle
Wrote some words in my own journal
No one knows what we go through
They judge by what they see us do
Although it seems a hopeless case
There’s beauty in our own disgrace
And if you try to see my view
I think you’ll like to know this too
When you argue with yourself
You know your mind and all it’s health
There’s really nothing wrong at all
When you answer self’s phone call
When you try to make excuses
Understand all the abuses
Of how another may mistreat you
It’s not at all in what you do
In the world of givers here
We are the ones who pay so dear
And when we give to those who take
Sometimes they pay us with their hate
It’s not that fair, we all have stories
Different tales and categories
Most times in peace we want to live
It’s not so easy to forgive
And when your voice inside your head
Tells you what you really dread
There’re just some people on this planet
Their judging ways are set in granite
Don’t waist your time to understand
You’ve done enough within the land
There is no higher act of kindness
Than helping others with their blindness
Forget the things that upset you
Remember now what you must do
Before you argue with yourself
Know just where you have your wealth

We all do this!
We all self talk
We argue with ourselves constantly
We analyze everything
We duke it out
We try to bargain
We may see reason
What is right?
What is wrong?
Who’s talking?
Who’s listening
Who answers?
There is just no denying that somewhere deep inside you, there is an inner being that is the essence of you. They are your truth and know if you are being true! The higher self within you needs to be honoured! This self in you, your inner child?…they are pure and tell you what you need to know.
